Staying at the Francis Marion Hotel for a wedding. Had breakfast this morning at the Swamp Fox Restaurant and it was awesome. Amazing buffet or you can order off the menu. Sylvie our server was outstanding! Food was so good. Highly recommend!

Our appetizers, the Brussel Sprouts, Crab Dip and Green Tomatoes were very good. The Fried Chicken was amazing! The Shrimp n Grits and Salmon were also a hit. Terin, our server, was very friendly and even though they were short staffed, due to an emergency, she kept her cool and handled the situation and extra tables like a pro! There were six of us and we all enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. The piano player did a great job playing Christmas tunes and the volume was perfect for a dining environment.

The food and atmosphere were fantastic. The crab cakes especially were so soft and flavorful! My mom had the burger and it was cooked to perfection. But the real highlight was Eric our server. He was so attentive, and made my mom’s birthday dinner really special. He was the cherry on top of a perfect meal.

Excellent breakfast! They have gluten free options with GF bread for toast or sandwich. Gluten free sandwich was a good size and delicious! My husband loved his corn beef hash. Our server, Christina, was a ray of sunshine!

Outstanding experience. Traditional setting but not stuffy. Lovely lounge and background piano playing. Food is 10+ Recommend hush puppies, petite shrimp & grits (plenty), she crab soup and... wait for it... Braised petite and butter beans with pork side dish. Service is absolutely amazing. Shout out to Abby

Pleasantly surprised by how good this place is. Tried it for lunch during restaurant week and happy we finally did. Portions were generous, and you can tell the chef put thought into each dish. I had a pear salad with purple pears—fresh and unique. My husband enjoyed the fried green tomatoes with bacon, saying they were filling and flavorful. For mains, I had perfectly cooked fried snapper with cheese grits and spicy tomato sauce, while my husband said the French dip sandwich was the best he’s ever had. I didn’t care for the flourless chocolate cake. Service was great but plan for 1-1.5 hours. Spent $70 for two, including tip. Recommend for tourists and locals! PS. They served the bread for free

I ate here twice and I highly recommend it! I had the kindest servers Terin at dinner and Sylvie in the morning. The amazing shrimp 'n grits is available in a petite portion, perfect for a woman's smaller appetite. Plus a warm tasty sourdough roll. The breakfast buffet has plenty of variety and is delicious: coffee and juices, two kinds of sausages, thick-cut smoked bacon, grits, fluffy scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, French toast, and very nice fresh fruits. At dinner, the piano player added a classy ambience. Do not expect trendy hip decor... do expect excellent cuisine for reasonable prices!
